It was a rainy day that turned into a beautiful afternoon. Friends and family gathered, some from across the across the state, some from across the country. They didn’t use the traditional language… but there the venue was so small that those who were invited and in attendance knew. We were among those the bride and groom considered dear and beloved.
We were there to mark a beginning, the beginning of a new phase in the life of these two young people. The beginning of a new family. The beginning of a marriage. It was a beautiful and joyful reason to gather. There was dancing, toasting, giggling and kissing. It was a very good day.
